Rich how about the following claim I found on your web site is it really credible or is it over the top?
"Purchase a company and receive the following manuals for FREE:
Winning Unlimited Clients $47"
'Unlimited' Can this really gain me every single client in the world ...and if it can only do this surely as there are only a finite number of clients on the world, isn't this really limited - when I take the word unlimited literally, I equate it to infinity, so obviously this marketing statement is a lie.
Do I take it literally or am I supposed to realise it's hype?
Because I know it's not true, does this make it not a lie?
Does the use of the word 'Unlimited' actually undermine the potential value of the product?

Well it would be misleading to say all... but I will go out on a limb here and say I don't think it would be an overstatement to say greater than 50% of marketing overstates the value or functionality of a product.
I've done a fair bit of marketing in my time. In a previous life I was ultimately in charge of marketing for a multi-million dollar company. I think that some marketeers believe if the product claims are so over the top, that the public understands that the claims are ludicrous, so therefore it's not lying or misleading to make outrageous claims - I disagree.
I would be keen to here comments from others on this topic?

Interesting statement, Is this indicating that all marketing people are lying to their potential clients?
Maybe I miss read this and would love to hear your take on this.
